Walter of the Apocalypse

Over the weekend we came upon an amazing painter with some of his paintings in, of all places, the hellish hustle and bustle of lower Broadway in Manhattan. At first I was dead set on buying one of his pieces but as we are currently on a crackdown budget I decided it would be better to put him and his work up here. He was kind enough let me take some pictures of his work and answer a few of Elizabeth's questions.

Walter tells us he's been in New York all his life and has recently had the vision to pick up painting again. These paintings he tells us, and I think anyone can see, are soaked in symbols. There is a smattering of christian and occult symbols in each painting. "You got Jacob's Ladder here, across the top," he tells us, of the scene on a small shrink-wrapped canvas. He explains that the various symbols advise humanity how "to elevate itself out of its misery."
